Buying gear doesn’t have to be complicated
It’s easy to get stuck in spec sheets and “best-of” lists. We prefer a simpler approach: talk through where you dive, what you want to do underwater, and what you care about most (warmth, travel weight, streamline, ruggedness, accessories, budget, or all of the above).
If you’re not sure where to start, start with the stuff you’ll use on every dive—then build from there. Many divers prioritize personal-fit items first (like exposure protection and comfort pieces), then move into core life-support equipment and travel-ready accessories as their diving grows.
